Help Military Ex-Prisoners of War FoundationWho Are We?The Military Ex-Prisoners of War Foundation is an independent corporation which was founded primarily to assist (1), Military Ex-Pow veterans, and (2), to fund our national Educational Scholarship Program for qualified heirs. For the 2009-2010 school academic year we awarded 78 scholarships of $2,000.00 each. Photos of most of the recipients were in the August 2009 - September 2009 issue of Foundation Times Newspaper. This year we have had many inquires about the Scholarship Program. All Members/Officers of the Foundation are Volunteers; no salaries or commissions are paid. All donations are used for our Educational Scholarships, Military EX-POW Veterans, and their expenses. Occasionally we approve a grant for a worthy cause. To the best of our knowledge, our Foundation is among the most ethical and transparent organizations in our country. Our Web Site address is: www.militarypowfoundation.org. We also publish the Military Ex-Prisoners of War Foundation Times newspaper (Free to Ex-POW Veterans and their families.) The mission of the Military Ex-Prisoners of War Foundation is to support educational programs designed to inform Americans about the POW experience; offer scholarships to children and grandchildren of former military POWs and other such activities as may be approved by the Foundation board of directors.
~ Letter from the President ~Dear Friend: WW II veterans are dying at the rate of more than 1,500 a day. Ex-Prisoners of War average 86 years of age. While we're not sitting around waiting for that "final roll call", we're still facing the usual problems of aging, greatly complicated by the physical and psychological effects of the inhumane treatment we suffered as POWs. Our legacy is quickly being lost; soon there will be no POWs left from World War II and those from the Korean Conflict are close behind. As former National Commander of American Ex-Prisoners of War, I have spoken with fellow EX-POWs all across American and one of their major concerns is that in a few years, the POW experience will be lost. For that reason, the Military Ex-POW Foundation is offering scholarships to children and grandchildren of Ex Prisoners of War, so that they may use their educations to perpetuate the heroic tales of their fathers and grandfathers. Without your help, this cannot be done. All we ask is that you do what you can. And you can be absolutely sure that your gift will be spent to benefit former POWs. and their families With warmest regards,
Paul Dallas Please help by sending in your gift now. Every day counts.
