Foundation Board Makes Changes

Hugh Howard Because of health reasons William Bearisto stepped down as Director in 2008. Vice President Charles Lee passed away on February 27, 2009 and the Board has not appointed a new vice President as May 2, 2009. With the average age of the board members of 85, it is understandable to louse a member now and then.

The Board appointed a new member in February 2009. Hugh Howard from Pikeville, North Carolina is the new board member. Hugh has served as Chapter Commander for several years and as State Department Commander in 1994-95. He has served as Vice-Mayor of the Town Of Pikeville for 10 years. Also, he has served more than 20 years as Chairman of the Bond procurement Committee for the Eastern North Carolina association of Electric Cities.
